The day began with a rejuvenating sound bath, thoughtfully organized by Jordanna, to help the team reset their minds and embrace a fresh perspective. This grounding experience paved the way for an inspiring exploration into navigating trends and unlocking creativity.
Jordanna shared her invaluable insights into identifying emerging trends and offered practical advice on how to apply these in salon businesses. The team also discussed effective ways to plan and style content that captures the essence of new techniques and trends. The day concluded with an engaging “look and learn” collaboration, where the team put their newfound knowledge into action by creating their own interpretations of the trends.

Under the guidance of Amber Senn, Sassoon Colour Instructor, and Zsolt Nagy, Sassoon’s Creative Director, Project Sassoon spent a dynamic day reconnecting with the fundamentals of hair colouring. This educational experience allowed the team to refresh their knowledge of colour structures and techniques, laying a solid foundation for creative experimentation.
In the afternoon, team members designed unique colour concepts that could be implemented in everyday salon work or captured for photo shoots. Jacquie Hirst from Jax highlighted the impact of the session: “Amber’s in-depth knowledge of colour and her explanations of face shapes and their influence on colour choices were transformative. The learning atmosphere created by Zsolt and Amber was so encouraging—it truly unleashed our creativity!”

Barbering Masterclass: Project Men and Media at WAHL HQ
The Project Men and Media team traveled to WAHL HQ in Ramsgate for an immersive barbering-focused day led by the talented Michael Damiano. Starting with a personalized analysis of each participant’s goals, Michael followed up with an engaging presentation of his journey and performed tutorials demonstrating two distinct cutting techniques.
The day provided actionable insights into barbering tools, techniques, and client engagement, as highlighted by the team’s feedback. One participant reflected: “The academy is an incredible space, and Michael’s expertise in both educating and demonstrating techniques was invaluable. I left with new skills and a deeper understanding of WAHL’s clipper technology.”
